"I received counselling from Mike during the Covid pandemic when like for many of us, unresolved feelings of loss which I had probably buried managed to totally knock me off balance. Mike's ability to express his genuine empathy for me made me feel so much less alone. I felt like I had someone invested in my recovery and rooting for me to come out the other side. This made the world of difference to me. I am now feeling so much better and this would not have been possible without Mike's skills." Rose

After consulting the latest government regulations and guidance, my insurer, the BACP and my counselling venue, I am able to continue to offer Covid compliant face-to-face appointments to those people who require emotional support during the lockdown. For those attending appointments, it is my understanding that travel is regarded as essential in order to receive mental health services. For those who do not wish to do so, I offer phone or video counselling at a reduced rate.
It is the joint responsibility of my clients and myself to notify each other of any relevant symptoms or risks we might be concerned of. I will continue to offer face-to-face counselling without the need of face masks with 2 metre distancing in an appropriately cleaned and ventilated room. Should you wish to wear a mask during sessions then I respect your decision. I will continue to review the situation and update you regarding any relevant changes. Thank you for your patience.
"One of the most important tasks of a soul friend is to listen compassionately and creatively to the hidden silences.
Often secrets are not revealed in words, they lie concealed in the silence between the words or in the depth of what is unsayable between two people."
